More and more we are getting requests for breakfast catering. Imagine you hire a cottage for a weekend with a group of friends and you are in a village that has just one local pub that doesn’t open until midday, hiring us to make a gourmet breakfast could be just the job to solve your hungry guest dilemmas! As per our normal service we can design a bespoke breakfast menu including cold continental options and some hot options for the main event. On this occasion the hot options included eggs Benedict, American style pancakes with blueberry and maple syrup compote as well as a traditional full English. Ordering breakfast in means that you can sleep in late, stay in your PJs and simply enjoy hanging out with your friends – who wouldn’t want to make the most of that!?

It must be the time of year when a lot of Christenings take place, May and April seem to be very popular months to do just that. We have had several so far this spring and in the same buffet format which seems to be the most common way of entertaining guests at these events. Last Sunday was no exception with a Christening lunch in Roehampton, London.

We provided a children’s lunch which they ate whilst the adults enjoyed a selection of homemade canapés, served by our very helpful waitress, Charlotte. The adults had chosen to have canapés as their starter and then have two main protein dishes with a selection of salads to accompany them. Lots of lovely spring salads, delicious fresh vegetables and leaves to compliment a whole sirloin of beef and a salmon wellington.

As with all of our events, the menu was designed to suit the choices of the guests and occasion. For dessert we created a mango and passionfruit pavlova and a tower of double chocolate brownies, fruit and salted caramel sauce (you’ve got to have something a little bit naughty after all that salad!).

As always we set the lunch, cleared away and tidied the kitchen so it was as though we had never been there! What better way to entertain friends and family; you don’t have to be hidden away in the kitchen, instead you can be spending time in the sunshine enjoying the food and cuddling a new baby!
